Feed Your Focus
Did you now that Jeff Bezos has his day planned out down to the minute? It truly explains why he has become as successful as he has. In any aspect of life, managing your time is so incredibly important. You will have to find healthy ways to feed your focus and starve your distractions to match the life you envision. This can be very complicated, especially in the interconnected world we live in today.
Here are five tips to manage your time:
Limit Social Media Use
Have you ever gotten on social media to check one thing and the next thing you know, an hour goes by and all you've done is read about other people's lives. This can be a very dangerous habit to get into. Not only is it a time waste, but it is also a huge reason so many people compare themselves to others and then feel bad about themselves. Stop doing that. You truly don't have time. I get that social media is such an integral part of our lives and this can be hard. To help you easy yourself out of this comparison cycle, try following more accounts that are inspirational and keep you motivated instead.
Get Up Earlier
When I was younger, my Dad was a 5am person and it use to drive me nuts. I was so confused how he could be so content with getting up so early. As I got older, it turns out that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. I love getting up early and I have become a 5am person. I love the time to myself in the morning. It's so quiet and it gives me time to wake up slow and create a better plan for the day.
Productive Brakes
Taking brakes is so important to reset. How you spend your time on your break can really determine if you feel that time has been a true refuel. I am a huge fan of practicing meditation and mindfulness, but it can be hard to snap into that in such a quick amount of time. Consider listening to calming music such as Zen or Jazz. These will help you focus on sounds and less on what is going on around you.
Workout
Working out has so, so many benefits. No only does it make you look good and your clothes fit better, it helps with stress and depression. Your mental state is incredibly important when running a business because your state of mind is influencing your business decisions. You will want to be in the right mindset to make optimal decisions.
Focus will be the game changer for how successful you can become. The sooner you can train yourself to keep focus, you will see incredible progress.
